Butwal : Chinese donors have sent 100 oxygen concentrators to Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal.
The Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. Rajendra Khanal informed that the Hospital has received the oxygen concentrators from Chinese donors on the initiative of former Ambassador of Nepal to China, Lilamani Poudyal amid a function here on Monday.
“After reports about the lack of oxygen in the Hospital, the donors have sent the concentrators to the hospital lies on the outskirts of Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha,” Khanal said.
He further said, former Ambassador Poudyal had established communication to the Consul General of Shanghai for Nepal, Jianming Wu, after repeated reports of acute shortage of oxygen in the hospital and finally it received the oxygen concentrators on the basis of the same contact.
According to Dr. Khanal, the concentrators have been arrived in Nepal with the facilitation of an official of the Nepalese Embassy in Beijing, Sushil Lamsal, in coordination with the Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Jukung Culture and Education Foundation and Singapore-based Tan Ngak Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation.
The hospital’s Medical Superintendent Dr. Khanal on the occasion has expressed his gratitude for the support.
