KATHMANDU: The US Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, has arrived in Kathmandu today.
During her two-day visit, she is scheduled to hold high-level political meetings, according to the US Embassy in Kathmandu.
Besides, she will also be going on an observation tour to experience the cultural heritage of the capital. Nuland assumed office as the Under-Secretary state for Political Affairs in April 2021.
A diplomat for thirty-three years, she has served as the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs from September 2013 to January 2017 under US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry.
